Real age: 18
Real nationality: American
Minecraft username: federalbigfoot
Character name: Smith
Character background: Back in the "old world", he was more of an outsider, abhorring the nuances of civilization and looking with a fresh eye to the bracing mist of lands yet untrodden. An adventurer at heart, Smith is turning to this new life as his only hope of living truly as a free man, with reward earned by his own hard work, the way his father had raised him.
Character personality: While at first glance he appears stony and callous, an inane love of nature a deep-seated romanticist view of the frontier eventually shows through to those he trusts. At the best of times he is a simple, jolly man who needs little more in the world than a strong tool and his beard to get a job done. He's happy to do what needs to be done so long as the proper respect is paid... that is to say, there is fair compensation involved.
Character goals: His goals are noble and simple, own a share of land, build a decent house, sustain his own needs, support his fellow man. he has no quarrels with fighting for the good of the people either.
Motivation for coming to New Santhrim: Having lost his immediate family some time ago, and growing tired of the city's filth, he saw the frontier as a new beginning and an opportunity for greatness.
Write a short scene from a roleplay encounter: The sun was nigh' high and yet he was already enthralled in heavy work. The last of the logs had been laid in the foreyard and he could now begin to assemble the frame that would expand his house in accommodation for a foundry. He leaned back against a fencepost for another sure look at his sightwork. Grasping at a leaden flagon, he gulped heartily at some fresh ale. Idly, the town pastor wandered by and nodded casually. The man known as Smith raised a heavy arm in his direction, "G'mornin Preacher!" was his greeting. The Pastor replied, "What a fine one it is indeed... That sure is hard work at this hour, but is the ale really necessary? it 'tisn't proper to drink this early."
Smith smiled and glanced at the flagon; "Only the best for the best work!" He wiped the sweat from his brow and released a hearty laugh at the pastor's disapproval; hefting an iron hammer to his shoulder. He proceeded back to his work, and once the pastor was out of earshot, he chuckled to himself at the holy man, "Never too early for work, 'specially not for drink, preacher-man."

A Smith, just what we need for the town economy. And his attitue will play well with the setting. He could either dislike the rulers, or rise in the ranks if he plays the game right. Accepted.
